Individuals and survivors alike

And those entrusted with upholding justice,

I stand before you today not because I want attention, but because I want accountability. I am a survivor of sexual abuse — an experience that no one should ever endure, and one that no one should ever have to fight to be believed.

For too long, survivors like me have been expected to suffer in silence while our abusers walk freely. For too long, we have been told to move on, be quiet, or let the system handle it on its own. But silence has never protected us — only action does.

I am here to demand that the legal system do what it is designed to do: investigate thoroughly, prosecute fairly, and ensure that those who commit sexual crimes are held responsible under the law.

I am not asking for special treatment.

I am not asking for vengeance.

I am asking for justice — the same justice promised to every person who has been harmed, threatened, or violated.

Sexual abuse leaves lasting scars. It takes away safety, trust, and often a part of who we once were. But standing here today, I reclaim my voice, my agency, and my right to seek justice.

I urge law enforcement, prosecutors, and all those in positions of authority to take my case seriously, to look at the evidence, to listen to the truth, and to protect not only me but anyone else who may be at risk. Accountability is not only about the past — it is about preventing future harm.

No survivor should ever feel that their pain is invisible.

No survivor should ever feel that their abuser is above the law.

And no survivor should ever be forced to fight alone.

Today, I ask you all to stand with me — to support a system that brings justice to those who have been harmed and ensures consequences for those who cause that harm. Together, we can create a world where survivors are heard, believed, and protected.
