فی عام 1912، عُثر علی تمثال نفرتیتی الشهیر – «الجمیله المشرقه»، إحدی نساء الأسره الثامنه عشره – فی قلب مصر القدیمه، من بین ذکریات آلاف السنین.
فی الوقت نفسه، تم اکتشاف حجر رشید – المفتاح لفک رموز الهیروغلیفیه – فی عام 1799، ثم نُقل إلی بریطانیا.
وتاج قبه معبد دندره، الذی یحمل نقوش النجوم والآلهه، أُخرج من مصر فی القرن التاسع عشر ویُعرض الیوم فی متحف بباریس.
هذه القطع لیست مجرد حجاره أو جص، بل هی أعمده للعقل والجمال والتاریخ المصری العظیم.
عندما تراها فی متحف بعید عن نهر النیل، تشعر أن جزءاً کبیراً من قصه مصر لیس فی موطنه.
الآن، مع افتتاح المتحف المصری الکبیر وزیاده القدره علی الحفاظ علی التراث، مصر جاهزه لإعاده هذه القطع الضائعه إلی الوطن.
نحن نقول الیوم:
- کل قطعه من التراث الثقافی تنتمی إلی أرضها الأصلیه؛
- کل أثر تاریخی فرید یستحق أن یُری فی موطنه؛
- إعاده هذه الآثار إلی مصر لا تحذف ثقافه الآخرین، بل تعید القصه إلی نقطه البدایه.
لذلک نوقع لإعاده الآثار المصریه القدیمه إلی مصر – لتضیء نفرتیتی مره أخری فی أرضها، لیکون حجر رشید بین شعبه، لتُری نقوش النجوم فی دندره فی سماء مصر، ولیس تحت أضواء مدینه بعیده.

In 1912, the famous Bust of Nefertiti – “The Radiant Beauty,” a woman of the Eighteenth Dynasty – was unearthed in Egypt, from among memories thousands of years old.
At the same time, the Rosetta Stone – the key that unlocked hieroglyphics – was discovered in 1799 and later taken to Britain.
The Dendera Zodiac ceiling, adorned with depictions of stars and gods, was removed from Egypt in the 19th century and now resides in a museum in Paris.
These are not merely stones or plaster; they are pillars of mind, beauty, and the great history of Egypt.
Seeing them in a museum far from the Nile, one feels that a large part of Egypt’s story is not in its own homeland.
Now, with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum and its increased capacity to preserve heritage, Egypt is ready to bring these lost pieces home.
We say today:
Every piece of cultural heritage belongs to the land it came from;
Every unique historical artifact deserves to be seen in its homeland;
Returning these artifacts to Egypt does not erase others’ culture but restores the story to its point of origin.
Therefore, we sign for the return of Egypt’s ancient artifacts to Egypt – so Nefertiti shines again in her land, the Rosetta Stone is among her people, and the stars of Dendera are seen in the Egyptian sky, not under distant city lights.
